Good advice

starts with a good fit.

We take time to understand the life you want, what you already have and whether working together could add meaningful value over the long term.

Most people who come to us are not looking for another report.

They want to know whether they can retire or ease back, get their investments and financial arrangements working together, and have someone they trust to stay across the decisions that follow.

Our process gives both of us time to decide whether that kind of relationship makes sense.

Step 1: Assessment

Tell us what you are trying to work out.

Start with a short online assessment. Tell us the question on your mind and the broad shape of your finances.

You will not need statements, account numbers or exact figures. We assess every submission and only suggest a meeting where we believe there may be a genuine fit.

Before you share anything, you can check our credentials.

(5 minutes, online)

Step 2: Alignment

Make sure we are a good match.

A focused conversation about what has brought you here, what you’re most worried about and the help you want. You can ask questions and we will be candid about whether we are a good fit.

We don’t provide recommendations in this first chat. That comes later, once we understand the full picture and have agreed to work together.

Step 3: Discovery

Understand the life behind the numbers.

We talk about more than balances. We want to understand how you want to live, how each of you sees retirement, what matters most, what concerns you and which commitments cannot be ignored.

We also begin mapping the financial picture: super, investments, income, spending, family arrangements and the decisions already in motion. It should feel like a thoughtful conversation.

(60-80 minutes, in person or online)

Step 4: Strategy

Agree where we can add value.

We identify the decisions worth solving, and show you what will ultimately make a meaningful difference.

We explain what working together will involve, including all costs. It’s important we both see clear value and a good working fit.

(60-80 minutes, in person or online)

Step 5: Advice

Turn the choices into a plan.

Your plan comes together with your purpose and our precise work. We carefully consider financial structures and tax, cashflow projections and spending needs, and investments.

At the presentation, we walk you through each recommendation so you understand the why. There is time for questions and no pressure to rush a major decision.

Step 6: Implementation

Put the plan into place with precision.

We turn the decisions into action. Some changes are straightforward. Others are carefully sequenced to manage tax, investment or administrative consequences. We coordinate the moving parts and keep you informed throughout.

(3-6 months, depending on complexity)

Step 7: Ongoing Planning

Are we still on track, and does anything need to change?

Life changes. Markets move. Tax and super rules change. New questions come up about work, retirement and family. You have someone who knows your situation to help you work through what comes next.

  • Meeting annually or semiannually to review progress (as agreed).

  • Strategic changes as your needs evolve.

  • Keep important matters moving forward.

  • Coordinating with your accountant and solicitor.

  • Your first port of call for important financial decisions.

  • Proactive updates on tax, super and investment changes that matter to you, including whether you need to act.
